Dalton Old Pump House Wedding Photography: Elizabeth and Joe

What they say: We first met Ed at a wedding fair before we had even booked our special day and new instantly that we needed somebody like him to photograph it. He was friendly, kind and he showed that he cared so much about his work and making the day memorable for us and our guests. Once we had booked our day, we were over the moon to find that he was also free and jumped at the chance to book him. From then on out, he was regularly in touch with advice and no question was ever too much for him to answer.

We were both incredibly nervous for our engagement shoot, however Ed quickly put us at ease and made it both enjoyable and relaxing for us. He let us pick spots that were special to us but also suggested spots and poses that we would never have thought of. This gave us a wide range of unique and interesting photos which were personal to us and made us even more excited for our wedding day.

On the day, Ed worked tirelessly and effortlessly throughout the day putting everyone at ease and capturing many special moments. He fit right in to whatever was going on – including the cheesy music and ‘ask Google’ style of getting ready. We particularly loved our photos which were taken of the two of us and that time together on the day. This included some wonderful impromptu sunset photos (some of our favourites) – great suggestion from Ed! He managed to capture all of the emotions of the day through a range of posed and natural photos which, when we looked at these, told the story of our day beautifully.

For anyone thinking about booking Ed, just do it. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and we were so pleased that he was as genuine on the day that we met him at the wedding fair to our wedding day.

I was so excited to photograph Elizabeth and Joe's Dalton Old Pump House wedding. I'd heard really great things about this brand new North East wedding venue, and it didn't disappoint! Dalton Old Pump House is a truly unique wedding venue. It was perfect for such a lovely couple, and such a special day.

Elizabeth had her morning preparations, along with her bridesmaids, in the bridal suite at Dalton Old Pump House, while Joe got ready at home with his groomsmen, before he made his way to the venue.

Joe's favourite moment of the day was seeing Elizabeth walk down the aisle. Both Elizabeth and Joe thought the day was made special by having their friends and family celebrate with them; "for both of us it was just being surrounded by so many of our favourite people to celebrate our special day."

It was important to Elizabeth and Joe that they incorporated their family into the wedding day. A highlight was also their wedding favours; "we loved our charity pins as wedding favours to support the charities that have had an impact on our lives."

Elizabeth and Joe's advice to couples getting married is: "Just enjoy it. Those little things do not matter because it is over in the blink of an eye."

I can't thank Elizabeth and Joe enough for asking me to be their Dalton Old Pump House wedding photographer. What a venue, what a couple, what a day!
