St Chad's Wedding Photography: Eleanor and Joe

What they say: Wow we can't put into words how great Ed was! From first meeting him at a wedding fair to our pre-wedding photoshoot and to the day itself - he was just fab! His photos are wonderful and we are delighted with them!

It is important to remember that a photographer also is around the whole of your day so their personality matters too - and Ed is just so lovely! He was such a calm and helpful person to have around on the day. All our guests commented on how great he was, especially the bridal party - whatever happened Ed was so chilled! It was just a joy to have Ed be part of our day - we can't recommend him and his stunning photos enough!

It was so lovely to be back photographing a wedding at St Chad's College in Durham again. I love St Chad's - it is a truly unique venue with stunning gardens and the whole of Durham City Centre on its doorstep. There are so many opportunities for photographs!

Eleanor got ready at home with her family and bridesmaids, while Joe and his groomsmen had their preparations at his family's caravan, right on the coast. They even managed a walk on the beach before heading to the church.

With their church and reception venue only being a few minutes' walk away from each other, Eleanor and Joe led the way and walked with their guests to St Chad's after their ceremony.

Joe's favourite moment of the day was watching Eleanor walk down the aisle, while Eleanor loved walking out of the church to all their guests and the confetti!

Eleanor and Joe provided their guests with homemade confetti, made from their grandparents' gardens. Another special touch was having Newcastle University Jazz Orchestra perform, which Joe was a member of when at university. He even joined in for a few songs!

Their advice to future brides and grooms is: "Enjoy every minute, once it gets to the day you can’t change anything so just try to relax and enjoy it - everyone is so happy for you so just soak it all in!"

I can't thank Eleanor and Joe enough for asking me to be their St Chad's Durham wedding photographer. What a fantastic day for two brilliant people!
