Grangefields Wedding Photography: Liz and Andy

What they say:  We are absolutely delighted with our wedding photos. Ed has such a friendly, calming and professional manner. He was hugely passionate about capturing the day without being intrusive. Most of the time, the guests did not realise that there were photographers present!

We were both camera shy but the pre wedding shoot helped to relieve any awkwardness for the wedding. Although based in the North East, Ed was more than happy to travel down to Derbyshire for the wedding and he was so flexible with us having to rearrange dates due to Covid restrictions. We can't thank him enough!

We are so happy with the final results, the day was captured perfectly! We highly recommend Edward Ashley Photography to couples looking for a wedding photographer. You won't be disappointed!

Liz and Andy's wedding at Grangefields was such a treat to photograph! They had a truly beautiful day with lots of personal and elegant touches. They clearly love each other very much, and it was so lovely to see how much their marriage meant to all their friends and family.

I was so happy to be asked to be Liz and Andy's wedding photographer for their wedding at Grangefields in Derbyshire. Grangefields is a brand new wedding venue in Derbyshire, which has just been opened by Cripps & Co - the team behind the stunning Hazel Gap in Nottinghamshire and Healey Barn in Northumberland.

Liz and Andy both rented accommodation nearby the night before their big day and got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen there before heading to Grangefields for their ceremony.

Liz and Andy said what made the day really special was having their nearest and dearest there to celebrate with them. They really enjoyed their drinks reception and chatting with their wedding guests.

Their favourite moments were the dancing(!) and when they took a few minutes to be alone just after the ceremony, before being greeted by their guests in a cloud of confetti! These parts of the day also made for fantastic photographs!

Liz and Andy's advice to brides and grooms getting married is "to definitely have a pre-wedding photoshoot. We weren't sure about this initially but it really helped to get rid of any awkwardness in front of the camera, which there was plenty of to begin with!"

They also really valued advice from friends and family to take a moment to really acknowledge and appreciate the day as time flies by, and would recommend other couples do the same.
