High House Farm Brewery Wedding Photography: Jane and Kirstie

What they say:  Ed has been fantastic from the minute we booked. Not only are our photos fantastic but he’s been a huge help with recommendations. On the day he was a calming influence and super friendly. Our photos are mainly natural with a few ‘money shots’ which did not take long at all to get and didn’t take us away from the celebrations for too long. We would definitely recommend.

Jane and Kirstie had their wedding day at High House Farm Brewery in Northumberland. It was a very special day filled with lots happiness, love, and emotion.

I was so happy to be asked to be Jane and Kirstie's wedding photographer for their High House Farm Brewery wedding. Being a wedding photographer in Northumberland is something I truly love. There are so many stunning wedding venues in Northumberland and High House Farm Brewery is amongst the very best.

Jane and Kirstie both prepared for their big day at a farmhouse nearby with their bridesmaids before travelling to their venue in separate cars with their bridal party.

High House Farm Brewery is an exclusive and unique wedding venue in Northumberland. There are views over the surrounding hills and loads of unique backdrops to use for photographs.

It was important to Jane and Kirstie that they could completely personalise their day; “We chose the venue for its relaxed atmosphere and freedom to tailor your day to exactly what we wanted. We also chose to have personalised readings and vows at the ceremony. A lot of the decor we did ourselves or had family help us do which added personalised touches to the day."

Jane and Kirstie managed to create a really fun and relaxed atmosphere, which they put down to their food, drinks & entertainment choices; "We went for ice creams canapés as it was 26 degrees, a ‘serve yourself’ cask of beer with a pump & beer badge we designed) then a live band & solo sax player took it in turns on the evening to keep the dance floor full all night."

Their favourite moment of the day was their ceremony and saying their vows to each other. This was closely followed by the reception and listening to all the speeches then the Sax player playing her first song, which was a surprise to Jane and most guests so really got the party started!

Their advice to future brides and grooms is to "enjoy the planning and the run up to the wedding as this is very exciting - you have control over how the day will go e.g relaxed, formal, themed so plan to what you want. But on the day focus on enjoying your day and try not to stress about the small details that may not be exactly what you pictured or asked for as nobody else knows these details and they don’t really matter."

"What matters is you both enjoy celebrating your love with those close to you - if you're enjoying yourselves then everybody else will enjoy it too. Try and take sometime to yourselves for just 5-10 minutes in the day to take everything in."
