Jesmond Dene House Wedding Photography: Charlotte and Paul

What they say: We first met Ed at a wedding fair and found him very easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. From the very start he has been fantastic, with great communication, a helpful weekly blog and made us both feel at ease throughout the process. We enjoyed the pre-wedding shoot and it enabled us to become comfortable with having our photos taken, making it a more relaxing experience for the wedding.

For the wedding itself Ed was great. We had so many positive comments from our guests, as he fitted in throughout the day. We feel very fortunate to have him as our photographer and love the photos he has taken. We couldn't recommend Ed highly enough!

Having not photographed a wedding at Jesmond Dene House for a little while, I was absolutely delighted when Charlotte and Paul asked me to be their Jesmond Dene House Wedding Photographer. I absolutely love it there - the surroundings are so green and peaceful it's easy to forget you're in the middle of a city. They had a truly beautiful autumnal day for their wedding, which was perfect for the setting.

Charlotte got ready in the morning with her bridesmaids at Jesmond Dene House, while Paul got ready at home with his groomsmen, before making his way to the venue.

For both Charlotte and Paul, their favourite moment of the day was the confetti; "It was a really fun and special part of our day".

Getting married in October, their theme throughout the day was all things autumn, which was perfect for the Jesmond Dene House. The fireplace in The Great Hall was keeping everybody warm during the ceremony, while Charlotte and Paul also had perfect autumnal weather, with the sun low in the sky and a lovely warm orange glow over everything.

Their advice to future brides and grooms is "to delegate and involve the bridal party" during wedding planning and preparations. They advise to spread out any wedding tasks; "do a little each month, and have a back up in mind for the suppliers in case things crop up."

Thank you Charlotte and Paul for asking me to photograph your gorgeous autumnal wedding day!
