Rachel and Daniel had a very special and intimate wedding at Lartington Hall. Lartington Hall is a truly exclusive wedding venue in Darlington where couples have private use of the hall and grounds. As this is a wedding venue with a chapel, Rachel and Daniel decided to have their whole wedding day at Lartington Hall.
I was absolutely delighted when Rachel and Daniel asked me to be their Lartington Hall wedding photographer. It was a real pleasure to take wedding photographs in such a stunning setting within County Durham.
Rachel had her bridal preparations at Lartington Hall on the morning of the wedding, while Daniel and the groomsmen spent the morning at home before travelling to the Lartington Hall wedding ceremony.
Since Lartington Hall is an exclusive wedding venue in County Durham, it was Rachel and Daniel's for the whole day. This meant we could make full use of the grounds to capture some stunning outdoor wedding photography and bride and groom photographs. The time of year meant we ended up with some beautiful autumn wedding photographs.
Rachel says that having a smaller number of guests "made the wedding day very intimate and meant we were able to spend time with everyone" and one of her favourite touches was "the beautiful flowers provided by sprig and thistle". She says the wedding was made exceptional by "having our wonderful photographers and venue hosts approachable and dedicated to making the day special."
Rachel's favourite moments of the day were "trying [her] wedding dress on and walking out of the chapel as husband and wife."
Her advice to brides and grooms is to “do what makes you happy; it’s your day!"
