Charlotte and Jack had their wedding at Holy Trinity Church in Matfen, before they and their guests went on to celebrate at Matfen Hall. Their day was very special and you could really see how much their marriage meant to the two of them and to their friends and family who celebrated with them.

I was so happy when they asked me to be their Matfen Hall wedding photographer, as Matfen Hall has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in Northumberland. The Hall has recently been refurbished with fabulous interior design and is surrounded by beautiful and peaceful grounds. Taking wedding photographs at Matfen Hall is a real pleasure.

Both Jack and Charlotte got ready at Matfen Hall with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. The journey to the church was a lovely five minute walk down Matfen's driveway!

Their day was full of personal elements; "It was important to us that we had little touches that were homemade or personal throughout the day. Making our own themed table names and having Jack’s mum make homemade clay hearts, which she often makes for gift tags every Christmas, for placeholders were some of the ways we had personal touches throughout our day. Our guests loved them!"

"Photographs are also a great way to personalise your day and show off your journey as a couple. Doing this and framing photographs from our engagement shoot was really special."

Charlottes favourite moment of the day was "Of-course the ceremony and seeing Jack at the end of the aisle as I walked down it but I also loved all the thoughtful speeches from friends and family!"

Jack says his highlight was "Walking out of the church as Mr and Mrs Osgerby with everyone cheering and throwing confetti! Not to mention the questionable dancing at the end of the evening!"

Their advice to couples planning their wedding is to "Trust the process! It’s easy to get bogged down about minor details but we asked ourselves ‘will we remember having that in 5 years time’? If the answer was no, we didn’t need it. A simple approach to our theme was perfect for us. Everything will be perfect so relax, enjoy yourselves and you’ll have the best day!"
