I was really pleased when Simon and Julie asked me to be their Jesmond Dene House wedding photographer; they are such an awesome couple and it was great to get to know them.
Their reception at Jesmond Dene House was was preceded by a church ceremony. The day was a chilled-out, beautiful, happy time with the couple surrounded by friends and family who clearly love them very much.
Julie had her wedding make-up done at her beautiful home in the morning and then popped out to get her bridal hair sorted. I always enjoy photographing in new locations and The Boiler Shop Jesmond was a super-cool and interesting backdrop to take some bridal photographs of Julie in while she was getting her wedding hair done.
Their ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church Jesmond and felt very personal. It was then just a short trip to Jesmond Dene House where there was a drinks reception awaiting.
The sun was shining all day long and the guests made use of the gorgeous gardens that make Jesmond Dene House wedding photography so beautiful. A really nice touch was that the wedding guests sat down to afternoon tea for the wedding breakfast, which is what Simon and Julie had on their first date together. There were some genuine, emotional, and very funny wedding speeches.
Their big day seemed perfect and everybody had a smile of their face the whole way through. It was such a lovely day to reflect a lovely bride and groom. It was a real pleasure to be their Jesmond Dene House wedding photographer.
